Life Update

I know it has been a long time since a new post went up. It has been crazy busy with a one-year-old girl now. Time has flown by. Eloise has learned so many things since then. She is walking everywhere, but still scoots every once in a while. She is constantly saying dada all the time, but also knows mama and in general, loves making noise. She understands when you ask her if she is all done after eating or if she wants more (She is working on small pieces of food by the way).¬†She has been getting her molars recently. Eloise knows to clap after we say good job to her walking, sitting down from standing instead of falling back, or just for fun. She loves to laugh and explore around the house. Eloise recognizes when the song “If You’re Happy and You Know It” comes on and will begin clapping for the first verse and puts her arms up for the rain in “itsy Bitsy Spider. She knows how to stomp her foot and we are working on yelling Hooray!

Eloise is always reading. She loves to read by herself, along with our normal daily reading.

She is growing too fast!

Since the last update, I have also started a new job. I now work at a chemical company editing pesticide labels. I love it and am happy to be there. Other than all that, things are the same.

New Stuff

So I have been trying to decide how to jump back into all this. I have many ideas for posts because so much has happened. I also want to get back into the book reviews to provide real thoughts for you potential readers. There is also a product review page so that as parents you can have a one-stop shop for any books, toys, kitchen tools, organizational tools, etc. and know that the reviews are true (You can’t always believe those reviews on the Internet!).

Most importantly, this page was began from my perspective as a father. While that is all well and good, I am not the only parent of Eloise. Sarah is just as important (if not more!) as the mom and she will be writing posts as well. This website is about parental perceptions and any wisdom we can share to those newer or upcoming parents is our main goal.

For now, that is all but there will be plenty of posts popping up soon!
